A. Noun
    The position of noun in English is a word used to name something, both abstract and concrete, both those that can be counted and those that are not.
Such as names of people, places, animals, abstract concepts and so forth. Noun in English is one of the part of speech
In a series of sentences, nouns can function or can occupy the following positions:

1. Subject of verb (subjek dari kata kerja)
    Example  : John takes my book.

2. Subject of complement ( subjek dari komplemen atau pelengkap)
    Example : A car is expensive.

3. Object of verb (objek dari kata kerja)
    Example  : She bought a computer.

4. Object of preposition (objek dari preposisi/kata depan).
    Example : I sit veside a girl.

Jenis-Jenis Noun
Concrete noun
Concrete Noun is a tangible noun that can be seen, touched, smelled, held, and felt by the five senses

Concrete Noun divided into five parts viz :
Common Noun
Common noun is a word used to name objects, animals, places, etc. in general (not specific).
Proper Noun
Proper Noun is a word used to indicate the name of a person, the name of a country, country, city, organization, place and so forth.

Proper Noun is the opposite of common noun, where proper noun shows a specific name.

Writing proper nouns always starts with a capital letter.

Collective Noun
Collective Noun is a word used to indicate the name of a group or group of common nouns.

This noun is a combination of several humans, animals or objects to show the unity of the nature of several individual nouns.

Material Nouns:
Material Noun is a word used to indicate the name of an object that comes from a raw material (raw material).

This type of noun is addressed to the types of objects which are natural creations and are not made by human intervention.
Compound Noun
Compound Noun is a noun formed from a combination of two or more words. Most compound nouns in English are a combination of two nouns or an adjective and a noun.

Example  Compoun Nouns :
-toothpaste
-blackboard

There are several ways to write compound nouns
1. The two words are joined together.
    Example: tooth+paste= toothpaste, bed+room=bedroom

2. The two words are separated by hyphens (-) or hypen.
    Example : check-in

3. Both words are separated by spaces.

    Example :  full moon



2. Abstract Noun
  Abstract Noun is a noun that refers to objects that cannot be reached by the five senses.
This type of noun has no physical presence, cannot be seen, heard, touched, smelled, and felt. The opposite of abstract noun is concrete noun.

Example of Abstract Noun: Water (air), love (love), happiness (happiness).

3. Countable Noun

  Countable Noun is a noun that can be counted either in the singular (plural), or in the plural (plural).

Rules for the formation of plural nouns (Plural) from singular (singular) nouns.

Nouns ending with the letters "s, sh, ch, and x then to form a plural simply by adding the suffix" es "to Singular Noun (singular noun).


Irregular Plural Noun
Irregular Plural Noun (plural irregular nouns) is a plural noun formed not by adding the suffix "s or ice", but this noun has its own plural form.
